After the first taste of the red wine with the seafood soup I put the white wine away and brought out the rest of the Anyela's Cabernet Franc. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2011 Hung up on Classification, Champagne Style The grapes are estate grown, viticulture and cellar work is conscientious and modern, and yet I do not think that anyone who pays attention to these things would classify Cristal, or any of Roederer's wines as grower Champagnes. Zinfandel from the 70s In the 1880s, Charles Wetmore, a journalist and head of the State Viticultural Commission, had suggested that making a rosé from free run juice zinfandel.
