A WINE STORY | FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2012 Exploring Plan dell’ Orino in Montalcino I remarke to a friend, after an amazing visit to Plan dell' Orino in Montalcino, Italy with owners/winemakers Jan Hendrick Erback and Caroline Pobitzer, who gave us a tour and tasting at their modest winery. A WINE STORY | FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2012 Visiting Petra winery in Italy’s Maremma region The tasting room above is very "old school" yet the cellar and vat room are located in this incredible structure. DR. VINO | MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2012 Home brewing, yes. But where’s the home winemaking? And most home-made wines that I’ve tasted have gotten 99 points for effort and decidedly fewer for what’s in the glass.
