    Jenny & Francois Portfolio Tasting
No merlot in this one, maybe some tannat. In case you're not familiar with Jenny & Francois , they import natural wines from all over France, from heavy hitters like Burgundy to unsung heroes like the Côtes de Duras (just northeast of Bordeaux, and considered Southwest France). Maybe it's just odd wine making. Maybe a bit of both.

asked if I could taste the 2005 Vinedo de los Vientos Tannat from Uruguay, $8, kind of in homage to Joe who likes Tannat, and they brought me a nice little pour. Which is fine, since it's about a 5 minute walk to bustling Smith or Court Streets. But don't let that turn you off - this is a really nice place. Just look at this wine list.
