SLAKED | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2008 Wine Spectator's California Wine Experience is a 100% syrah from Walla Walla, Washington State. I have a love/hate relationship with Wine Spectator. love their events. occasionally enjoy their magazine. routinely disagree with their wine scores (they gave Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello 2005 only 85 points - WTF are they thinking?!) and I take issue with the 100 point system generally.
