WINE TASTING GUY | SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2008 Kosher Wine Extravaganza - Unusual (but gooood) wines Merlot, Cab, Syrah - been there done that. lighter wine than a Cab, merlot or Syrah, Barbera is said to be the most (or second most) planter varietal in Italy. EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2006 Vive la France au-dessous des dollars tenty! love the grapes in the area ( syrah, granache, cinsaut and mouverde) and I wanted to dig through there first. The wine is a northern Rhone Valley one hundred percent syrah from the Cornas AOC. And after a little research I found out that this wine was ready to drink. It is time for me to re focus.
