This week has been about as far up and down on Pinot Grigio as it can get. Earlier in the week I tasted what maybe the worst tasting Pinot Grigio I ever had. Pinot Grigio makes terrific aperitifs before a meal. The San Angelo Pinot Grigio from Castello Banfi is one of the best I've had at my young white wine drinking age. MORE >>

The Baco Noir was intriguing, but the '05 Pinot Noir was fabulous, especially with the chocolate fudge brownie served with the wine. Along with some white wines, I could not leave without the Pinot Noir. couple of Cab/Francs, a few dry Rosé, some Pinot Gris, Seyval, Vidal Blanc and a ton of Riesling. was not driving. MORE >>

The other night we opened a bottle of the 2007 Weinhof Scheu Grauer Burgunder Kabinett Trocken , $16, Savio Soares Selections, a wine made from grapes perhaps better known to most of us as Pinot Gris. little jiggling and it came out easily enough.
