[Muller-Thurgau] Visit to Wine Group Seiterre
For example, the Lugano white wine is paired with a cone filled with basil cream, the Muller-Thurgau white wine is paired with a grain and vegetable salad, the aromatic Custoza Superiore white wine is paired with a bean salad, and the red Bardolino Superiore is paired with roast beef and vegetables. The name Seiterre is meant to refer to “six lands” – different geographical areas, diverse climates, varried terraine, and different wine varieties.

    [Muller-Thurgau] A Wine Story - Untitled Article
White grapes include Pinot Grigio (here, the style is less skin contact so the color is more pale), Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Muller Thurgau, Kerner, Sylvaner, Riesling, and a small percentage of Veltliner. Varietals grown here include Pinot blanc, Riesling, Muller-Thurgau, and Pinot Noir. So I am VERY excited to be visiting Alto Adige next week.

[Muller-Thurgau] Alto Adige Wines Grand Tasting
I also tasted Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs, Pinot Biancos, Gewurtztraminers, Sylvaners, Muller Thurgaus, and a few whites which were blends of some of the aforementioned varietals. 2007 Muller Thurgau was another interesting wine. I was fortunate to be able to attend the Alto Adige Grand Tasting this afternoon. While there were winemakers in attendence, many of them seemed disinterested in speaking with the guests.

    [Muller-Thurgau] WINE DEALS!!!
Deal # 1 - 2006 Kofererhof Muller Thurgau. Lo & Behold, I am compelled to eat my words. Granted you may not be STEALING these wines from the retailers, but searches revealed higher prices being charged elsewhere. As to whether they are good wines or not, sadly, I have not tasted them and as such can not vouch for their quality. The first wine however (according to the retailers website) scored a 91 from Robert Parkers; The Wine Advocate.
