There was also a Merlot, Cab, and then 4 zinfandels. | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts had a Bordeaux Blanc made by Arietta called the "Arietta White Wine on White Keys 2006" that was a blend of Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon and had an interesting breadiness with some melon & pineapple aromas. WINE TASTING GUY | TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 2008 "Today's Bordeaux" tasting event The 2003 Chateau Lamourette Sauternes made from 90% semillon, 6% Muscadelle & 4% Sauvignon Blanc was quite pleasant. blend of 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a deep rich ruby color with aroma's of black fruit, chocolate and coffee. or blog post as the case may be. really like this event for a few reasons. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, 2008 Jenny & Francois Portfolio Tasting 2007 Haut la Vigne Côtes de Duras - 50-50 chardonnay and semillon. No merlot in this one, maybe some tannat. Here are a few things that struck me during the tasting: If I had tasted blind, I would have guessed wrong on the grape varieties in many of these wines. Maybe it's just odd wine making. VIGNA UVA VINO | TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2008 French Kiss: A French wine tasting dinner This is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and is an easy drinking and velvety Bordeaux. The dessert wine was Chateau Castelnau Suduiraut 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc.
