The first wine we opened was a 2006 Chateau Lafont Menaut Pessac-Leognan Bordeaux Blanc. While the king, a Cab based wine (with 10% Merlot) was thoroughly enjoyed and drunk to the last drop. | VIGNA UVA VINO FEBRUARY 5, 2008 French Kiss: A French wine tasting dinner but in a good way:) For an entree I had Filet Mignon with Foie Gras and Madeira sauce which paired well with the Andre Lurton Chateau Couchery Rouge Pessac-Leognan. Soil from the vineyards are gravel over clay and seated in the Martillac and Leognan communes in the South of Bordeaux. Perfect with hors deourves. | |
