MAY 14, 2007 [Maconnais] Another White Stunner from 2005 Burgundy
The two "lesser" regions I refer to are the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais, both south of the Cote de Beaune and north of Beaujolais. The Maconnais is home to St Veran and Pouilly Fuisse, among others. I am finding that the un-oaked whites from the "lesser" regions of Burgundy are just fantastic in 2005. That they are reasonably priced makes the whole thing happy for everyone.

APRIL 22, 2013 [Maconnais] Bourgogne Takes New York!
The pairing thought is that the fruity sweetness of the Maconnais balance the spiciness of the food while some of the herbaceous aromatics pair well with flavors used in the dishes such as cardamom, tumerick, cumin, fennel, and coriander. Sushi & Pinot Noir at Sushi Shop.

, a Burgundian region known for value whites. Warning : this is a really long post you might need to read it over several days, or during one day in which you are really bored at work.
