40% Syrah, 30% each Grenache and Cinsault. There is a slightly peppery, salt pork nuance that I assume comes from the Syrah. My favorite North Fork of Long Island producer and this is my favorite Shinn wine. 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Carignan, 15% Syrah, and 5% Grenache. Delicious food friendly wine, at a great price. MORE >> -

Cycling though Brooklyn and Queens last weekend on a 25 mile loop, a wine shop in Long Island City caught my eye. Having a Cote du Rhone designation, this Loubie Rose blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah comes from 40 year old estate grown vines. MORE >>
