Last year I reviewed a 2007 PetiteSirah from Concannon Vineyard , so I was delighted to recently receive the 2008 vintage. The PetiteSirah is one of three red wines I have began to appreciate much more over the past year and this would be my first one of this vinatge.
This week I received a bottle of Concannon Conservancy Crimson and Clover 2010 , a blend consisting of 50% PetiteSirah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 10% Zinfandel. This wine is a tribute to the "Father of America's First PetiteSirah," Jim Concannon, from his son John.
Of course my choice would be Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley or Russian River Valley, the home of some of the best wines in the world. Oh, I'm sorry, did I leave out Paso Robles, Lodi, Central Coast or LivermoreValley. Most notably, Zinfandel and PetiteSirah.
