His 2004 Neiman Cellars Napa Valley Red is a blend of 1/3 Cab Sauvignon, 1/3 Merlot, & 1/3 Cab Franc. Also from Merus was their '05 Merus Cab blended with 5% Petit Verdot & Malbec. don't know. The Cabernet Franc is my favorite, there is also the Cot (known elsewhere as Malbec), and the Cuvee Granit, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, I think. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, JANUARY 19, 2007 Blind Tasting: Bordeaux Varietals Part 2 had so much fun smelling and tasting the differences in these wines, grouping them by color or by aroma. blend of 47% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 19% Cabernet Franc. blend of about 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot.
