The blend is Mourvedre, Carignan, and Grenache. But I got it on sale for $13 at Astor, which makes it all the more absurd. This is a blend of Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache. I was very much impressed with the Jenny & Francois portfolio , so much so that I decided to buy a few and taste them at home with dinner. MORE >>

The red varietals that define this region, syrah, carignan, grenache, mouvedre and to some extent merlot and cabernet sauvignon are always blended together is some way shape or form depending on the appellation or sub-appellation.
