The least cost prohibitive wine of the bunch was the 2006 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Clary Ranch and the one I found most interesting. Zinfandels and 1 Syrah. don't know. And there was 1 rose' that I tried. | WINE TASTING GUY FEBRUARY 6, 2008 Chateauneuf-Du-Pape tasting at Tribeca Grill This was not one of those HUGE industry tastings. The base of most however is Grenache, often blended with Mourvedre, Syrah, & Cinsault. No wonder so many people have for so long spoken of the pretension of the wine industry. The tasting was seemingly co-sponsored by Le Du Wines and Alain Junguenet Selections. | SLAKED DECEMBER 4, 2008 The Under $25 Crowd. Continued The wine was too young upon opening, but it revealed its nice dark fruits quickly, and the minor industrial funk that wafted out of this bottle after popping the cork, vanished within an hour, revealing dark berry notes and very good balance.
