WHY WINE: Joeshico Wine Review "Muga" Rioja Reserve
The wine is 70% Tempranillo, 20% Granach and 10% Mazuelo and Graciano. Tempranillo is the most well known and widely used grape to make red wine (tinto). It is a black grape often referred to as Spain's noble grape which ripens several weeks prior to the other varieties and provides the full bodiedness of red wines. Smooth and dry!

    Rose Water
This Saturday night I had a glass of white Granache from the Languedoc - I cannot remember the producer. Maybe I'm too picky, but there just aren't that many high-end restaurants that appeal to me these days. High-end to me, by the way, means more than $100 for two people with appetizers and wine, maybe a dessert. At reasonable prices too.

    Gary Vaynerchuk and the Vaniacs!
He always likes to keep his shows surrounding a theme whether it is the best wines for thanksgiving or a line of granache from different parts of the world (one of my recent favorites). My thirst for wine knowledge is never completely quenched. And honestly I don't attempt to quench it. This is the life of a wine blogger. Not telling. Cheers!

    Hooray For Vacqueyras!
looked a little closer and saw "granache" (sigh of relief). The computer said one hundred percent granache but after tasting it there might some syrah and a little mouverde in there. I am on a brief French wine kick right now. was running around yesterday and popped into a local wine shop to search out another twenty dollar and under.

Vive la France au-dessous des dollars tenty!
love the grapes in the area (syrah, granache, cinsaut and mouverde) and I wanted to dig through there first. It is time for me to re focus. have been all over the place with these posts. must admit I have strayed a bit from the everyday twenty dollars and under values. Well, people I am back on track and in a very exciting way. France.

    Tasing Provence and The Loire
The producers name is Chateau Rouet and it was a blend of 60% granache and 40% syrah and had a beautiful pink color and a wacky curvaceous bottle. So it was time to explore France via the east village. One night last week Gal, Mr. Wolf and myself popped two bottles of French wine. First up was a rose form Provence. It was worth the risk.

    Fada!
It smoothed out the rough edges of the syrah and granache wonderfully. All I have to say is Fada. This little French bistro in Williamsburg (I put the link in the title of this post) on North 8th and Driggs is absolutely awesome! was in the mood for some French food and especially some French wine. wanted me some Rhone. She said Vacqueyras.
