EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2007 Gettin' A little Chile in South Carolina This guy had some money and was looking to diversify with vineyards all over Spain as well as California's Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. don't know much about viognier other than it is native to the Rhone area of France and became popular for a minute in the US and then dropped off a bit. SLAKED | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2008 Buying Wine in Mexico 2006 Walter Hansell Russian River Valley Chardonnay ** Another big wine, this one from the RRV, with golden fruits. Mexico is a difficult place to find a good bottle of wine. Those were a Seavey cabernet and a Hansell chardonnay I purchased at Scotto's Wine Cellar nearby before we left.
