BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2007 The Finest Value Red of the Season This is a Loire Valley wine, naturally. This is just north-east of the Touraine appellation - you can see the area in gray below. For red wine Pinot Noir, Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and the obscure Pineau d'Aunis are allowed. But in this case, I'm going for it. It costs $13.50 Who knows. MORE >>
