The label said Maitre Miret, Hussiere a Macon, he was something like a Rabbi going around giving an OU to kosher food. Over lentil soup and some fine local cheeses, I asked them about Gamay. What wine would be best to serve with this? | WINE TASTING GUY SEPTEMBER 27, 2008 Wines for the New (Jewish) Year UNDER $30 Staying with the theme of uncommon varietals is the Recanati Reserve Cabernet Franc. A very well made yet restrained wine, the Cab Franc is much lighter in body than most Cabs, Merlots, or Syrahs, and is a great choice for your lighter holiday meals as the wine will not overpower the food as might be the case with the bigger bodied wines. | WINE TASTING GUY MAY 4, 2008 Day in Napa then had a Rose' made from Cab Franc before moving on to the reds. had a 2004 " The Sisters " Cab made with 8% Cab Franc. Jeff is the winemaker for Solorosa and as well as Covenant wines, a premium kosher Napa wine. The Covenant, which sells for close to $100/bottle, is a favorite wine for many (well to do) kosher consumers. | | | | | | | | | -

WINE TASTING GUY | SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2008 Kosher Wine Extravaganza - Unusual (but gooood) wines (Picture of Aron Ritter - founder of KOSHER WINE SOCIETY ) I attended the " Kosher Wine Extravaganza" today in Manhattan sponsored by Gotham Wines, one of the largest retailers of kosher wine. Rather it was a 2004 (I think) Recanati Reserve Cabernet Franc. Merlot, Cab, Syrah - been there done that. Worth a shot! MORE >> -
WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 Best bet (kosher) Israeli wines for Passover - at all price ranges. am not going to go into ALL kosher wines but I will discuss where my passion lay, Israeli wines. Imported by a NON- KOSHER wine importer, Recanati is the one kosher brand in their portfolio. Castel went from an uncertified Israeli winery to one with kosher certification during the 2002 harvest. The Dalton Canaan Red. MORE >> -
EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2006 Enjoying a Lip-Stinger There are a couple of serious cheese mongers in there as well as a kosher wine shop, a barber shop a tailor and a restaurant. So I just went up and down the rows of cold whites, which were separated generally by country and found myself in the region I have been in for a while now, France. This place is amazing. Ok, back to the point. MORE >>
