Even so, I become disillusioned when traveling to New York City or surrounding states and find it difficult to find much more than the mass produced wines from a very few wineries available. It's only been about three years since I started to appreciate Rose` wine and they have all been 100% Finger Lakes Cab/Franc. Other than ordering on line, it is very difficult to find New York wines other than Finger Lakes and Adirondack wineries in the local shops. The second was a recently purchased wine and spirits warehouse with a very large selection of wines, especially the largest selection of Finger Lakes wine I've seen in any shop. Pricing is the lowest I have seen locally. | WHY WINE BLOG JUNE 7, 2010 Vacation's Over Finished a few odds and ends around the house, enjoyed a great day on a Finger Lakes wine tour, visited family in Pennsylvania and attend my High School class reunion (20th, I believe, or 45th possibly). WHY WINE BLOG | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25, 2009 WHY WINE: Joeshico wine review; Buttonwood Grove 'dry' Riesling In mid 2007, six Rieslings from the Finger Lakes were tasted blind against six of some the world's best Rieslings at a trade and media event in New York City. Locally in Central New York it is found at about $15. Although they were all enjoyable, my favorite came from the Buttonwood Grove Winery. MORE >> -
