JANUARY 26, 2015 Tasting note: “bitter clown tears”
This tasting note is no doubt better than the wine! But, oddly, I bet it actually helped sales of the wine (assuming people read it). It wouldn’t surprise me if there were a store out there somewhere that posted only mockeries or send-ups of tasting notes. Would resonate well with the youngs.

JANUARY 27, 2015 Phenomenal Femmes Dinner Tonight with Lilian Barton
It was so great to see Lilian Barton Sartorius yesterday at the Union Des Grand Crus de Bordeaux tasting in New York City. Despite the snow storm, the wine world turned out to taste the 2012 vintage and meet the winemakers who so generously turned out.

Eric Larramona of Chateau Laufaurie-Peyraguey. The Union Des Grands Crus de Bordeaux came to NYC yesterday just as a storm descended on the city. The 2012 vintage was showing well. particularly the Merlot, though of course each Chateau is different. It was a great opportunity to see friends from Bordeaux, taste the new vintage, and also see the new generation (children of owners) coming up from the ranks. MORE >>

Not only does he make the excellent wines at Domaine Guy Roulot in Meursault but he has pursued a parallel acting career, with 52 credits to his name including Haute Cuisine (fire it up on Netflix during this blizzard).
