AUGUST 31, 2017 Enjoying Cline Cellars Old Vine Zinfandel
This is a shout out for what I (and many) consider an “American classic” – Lodi Old World Zinfandel from Cline Cellars. Zinfandel is the perfect California grape that reflects the spirit of the Old West.

AUGUST 21, 2017 Can Tuscany rival Bordeaux?
The first time I experienced Arcanum from Tenuta di Arceno I actually didn’t know what I was tasting. That’s because it was what the Master of Wine educational program calls a “blind tasting.”

A WINE STORY Discovering Alentejo Wines #vinhodealentejo
| TUESDAY, AUGUST 1, 2017
Fabulous seminar on wines of Alentejo today led by the charming and always interesting Evan Goldstein MS. Wines of Alentejo have been fabulous since Roman times, and in the last ten years are just getting better and better. The seminar kicked off with a bit of a geography lesson about the various quality regions of Alentejo, and some of the new developments. Among the most interesting development is this: more producers are using Amphora to age their wines. MORE >>

VIGNA UVA VINO Crowded House Sauvignon Blanc 2016, Marlboro, NZ
| TUESDAY, AUGUST 8, 2017
Marlborough, a region in New Zealand known for its pitch perfect Sauvignon Blancs, has done it again. This is a softer and rounder vintage compared to recent years because of a warm and dry summer. And because the grapes were sourced from various spots in the region it allowed for a wider range of flavors and aromas. The fruit was fermented in stainless steel tanks and further texture was added by extended lees aging. MORE >>
