Taste was again herbal, slate, asparagus and again just a hint of citrus notes. very short dry peppery finish and with a little tropical floral like taste. Definitely more body than Sauv/Blancs I tasted. She had six wines shipped home. | | | | | | | | | | | | -
WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2009 Why Wine: Joeshico Wine Review; Anthony Road Semi-dry Riesling 2008 took my list of New York medal winners to another local wine shop. Unfortunately, I found only one, besides another Anthony Road Vinyards 2008 semi-dry Riesling which I already have in the cooler. and often. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | THURSDAY, JUNE 10, 2010 Silver Birch Sauvignon Blanc 2009 3L have since tasted a Monthaven Chardonnay (California) and this past week the Silver Birch Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand). Definitely a good party wine. Released in May with a suggested retail of $24, but you can shop and find on-line for as low as $17. The Chardonnay was not impressive. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2010 Why Wine: Cline Cellars: Giving Back with Cashmere 2008 thought is was kinda ironic that just a few hours after hearing this news, I spotted a wine bottle in one of my favorite shops, with a pink ribbon on the label. The tasting room is located in an 1850s farmhouse and the wine is the Cline Cellars Cashmere 2008. Definitly not Beaujolais, but fruit forward with much higher alcohol. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2011 Champagne News This time of year there are a load of trade tastings, and even if like me, you only go to a few of them, you hear things. It is absolutely delicious, and it doesn't smell or taste anything like Sagesse - as Franck Pascal said, " The addition of still red wine really changes the character of Sagesse." That's right.3 cases. MORE >> -

This was definitely not one of them. left the bottle uncorked while the wife and I went shopping. A few weeks ago, I reviewed a Fingerlakes red table wine from Damiani Wine Cellars of Hector, NY. Here's what I mean by that. MORE >>
