This is a definite re-buy, although the price forces me to consider the occasion instead of just grabbing another and tucking it away, as I would if it were under $20. | | | | | | | -
WHY WINE BLOG | TUESDAY, MARCH 16, 2010 Concha y Toro Casillero del Diablo Carmenere 2008 The Marques de Concha Casa, at $20, was definitely the best of the three, although the Casillero del Diablo was a great buy. As I stated in my previous two articles, Carmenere is one of the wines I've pushed aside in the past, but have placed on a list to re-examine in 2010. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | FRIDAY, AUGUST 26, 2011 A Day In the Finger Lakes 6 - Keuka Lake Our first time at the Blue Heron and will definitely return when back in the region. Our first stop was at Hunt Country Vineyards. MORE >> -

Shirley helps make that decision easier by planning some meals ahead of time or by just giving me a warning of what's on the menu for the night. MORE >> -
WHY WINE BLOG | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2010 Why Wine: Cline Cellars: Giving Back with Cashmere 2008 Definitly not Beaujolais, but fruit forward with much higher alcohol. One of the great things about social networking is that you often get in contact with friends and classmates from a time when all was great, life was fun and we were all going to live forever. am fortunate to know a few survivors, including one male, now retired, co-worker. WHY WINE BLOG | SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2009 A Day in the Finger Lakes put this stop first because it is definitely my favorite New York winery. We got to meet Amy Cheatle and the staff and tasted some of my favorites and some new reds along with a surprisingly nice Sauvignon Blanc and I must admit a real nice Syrah. was impressed with the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Cabernet Franc.
