Definitely a great food wine. Following the Cab I had a Petit Sirah and finished with an old vine Zin PORT that I REALLY enjoyed. Nice wines. | WINE TASTING GUY APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts Moving to the Rhone valley in France I tried some wines from Eric Texier. This blend of 20% Tannat (a grape originally from SW France), 30% Petit Verdot (a Bordeaux varietal) and 50% Lagrein was very nice. then was offered their "Amistar" Cabernet Franc 2005. But the "Amistar" Cab Franc. Possibly my favorite 100% Cab Franc EVER. MORE >> -
EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | SATURDAY, AUGUST 2, 2008 1999 ORLANDI CONTUCCI PONNO LIBURNIO After some testing and some clone experimentation she decided to not only plant Montepulciano but Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot; all varietals from in and around the Bordeaux region. Oh and we can't forget good ol' cab franc. This is definitely a business run on passion. Until now. MORE >>
