Next to Texier was Domaine Franck Peillot from the Bugey region of France (a place I had never previously heard of). wine I will definitely keep an eye out for in the future. Sadly Pam was not there, but her 2005 Cab Franc & 2004 Cab Sauv were. | BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE JANUARY 8, 2007 Rose Water There are well chosen wines from the Loire Valley, Burgundy, the Rhone, Bordeaux, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, and of course America. The Cabernet Franc is my favorite, there is also the Cot (known elsewhere as Malbec), and the Cuvee Granit, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, I think. At reasonable prices too. | | | | | | | | | -

If you spend $55 on a Burgundy, are you definitely getting the finest example? MORE >> -

Loire-lovers have been touting 2005 as a great vintage, as good as 05 in Burgundy or Bordeaux. This wine is like a prizefighter in training - no sweet or fatty foods, lots of sleep, and definitely no sex, but this is just training. MORE >>
