Regional Wine Week was the brain child of Dave McIntyre , wine critic for the Washington Post and Jeff Siegel, the Wine Curmudgeon blog writer. | ALICE FEIRING FEBRUARY 18, 2008 Alice Feiring - In Vino Veritas found it to be pre-fabbed for the important wine critics. The wine tasted like burnt meat painted with toast (I thought it was his merlot from Virginia). home : wine recommendations : wine girl for hire : bio : articles : contact « The Winners in Global Warming | Main | Climate Change Conference: what stood out? SLAKED | WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2009 2008 Monte Bello Futures Tasting The 2008 Monte Bello will (probably) be made from just cabernet sauvignon and merlot for the first time in twenty-five years. True: they may never develop the sweet, blueberry and vanilla notes which trade critics laud. Nathless all, That in my thoughts I of that sacred realm Could store, shall now be matter of my song. WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 Best bet (kosher) Israeli wines for Passover - at all price ranges. Both are great (as long as the '05's which have been out for well over a year were stored properly) but the 2006 were rated slightly higher by Israeli wine critic Daniel Rogov. Also in the $13-$14 range from Galil Mountain and worth checking out is their Merlot &/or Shiraz. Buy it up, drink it and be proud. The Dalton Canaan Red. MORE >>
