Texier charge $95 for this bottle and label it Condrieu? Because wines called Condrieu must be dry wines, and this wine is fermented to only about 8% alcohol, leaving lots of residual sugars. hauled my butt into Manhattan (!) Roundup - Recent Sips and Bites Made from 100% Viogner grapes from Condrieu, this wine was every bit as delicious as I remembered. A few wines of interest from the past few weeks that don't get their own post: Burgundy 2003 Marechal Savigny Les Beaune Vieille Vignes , $ unknown (restaurant purchase). BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2008 Thoughts on a Northern Rhône Tasting 2007 Guigal Condrieu ($55) - my favorite of the whites. I recently participated in the Wine & Spirits Northern Rhône tasting panel. Blind tasting 12 flights totaling 39 wines, 13 producers, and lots of discussion with a panel of articulate and experienced people. Most of the reds were just too enormous for me. VIGNA UVA VINO | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25, 2008 Chamarré Grand Reserve Viognier 2005 (Vin de Pays Vignobles de France) The grapes from the northern Rhone come from the AOC Condrieu where Viognier may have originated. Another new French wine from the Chamarré brand is this white which is made from 100% Viognier grapes, half from the northern Rhone and half from the Languedoc appellation.
