Normally with an overly ambitious label like this I would be wary but it wasn't from California and it wasn't over priced so I felt I was pretty safe. Pretty cool. -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 2007 The Finest Value Red of the Season Wines labeled Cheverny must be blended. White wines labeled Cheverny may contain Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Chenin Blanc, but every white Cheverny I have encountered is primarily a Sauvignon Blanc with a bit of Chard blended in. The label sports a multi-colored cow with what could be angel's wings, so go figure. -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, JULY 2, 2007 The Beaujolais Challenge - Beaujolais Yes, there is some white wine (Chardonnay) made in Beaujolais, but almost 99% of production is red wine, and it's all about Gamay. The label says this wine is made naturally, fermented with yeasts on the grape skins. First time checking out the Beaujolais Challenge? Don't worry, you haven't missed anything. Okay, that's it. -

BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2007 Dinner with the In-Laws The label indicates that this wine is a "2" out of 5 on the sweetness index, and this honeyed and floral residual sugar carried through on the long and elegant finish. This is a late harvest blend of mostly Chardonnay (65-70% I think), Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. How about something elegant and festive in a white wine? Not good. -
EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2006 Bushwick, Open Studios and the Chuck The choices are: chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and shiraz. We should have just bought the chardonnay so the oak would mask everything. I didn't really know when I would get around to this third installment of the Trader Joe's experiment. found some and will taste them after I write this post. Oh, wait sorry."Three-Buck -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2006 A Bubbly Surprise! Both made from Chenin Blanc, they can be bone dry, off dry (called demi-sec on the label), or sweet (called moelleux on the label). This champy is a grand cru wine made only from chardonnay, and it was described as light and elegant. Instead, I have focused on the wines she loves, from Vouvray and Savennieres. LOVED it. | |
