We also tasted a 2004 St. true Willamette Valley style pinot noir with another decade of life in it as well. In that spirit, BrooklynLady and I dug into the ol' wine fridge and sampled five Oregon Pinots from the Willamette Valley. Okay, so far so good. | | | | | | | | | | -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 2007 Remembering a Trip to Oregon with a 2003 Pinot In early January of 2005 BrooklynLady and I visited the Willamette Valley in Oregon. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2007 Catching up a Little Bit 2002 was a great year for Willamette Valley Pinots, and Domaine Serene is considered to be a top Oregon producer. tasted this particular wine, their "entry level" wine, a little over a year ago and found it to be too aggressive, too spicy, to herky-jerky for my taste. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2007 Revisiting Some 2001's This is a good thing to capitalize on if you keep a cellar of any size, and if there are limits to what you can spend. Some Willamette Valley Oregon Pinots, for example, reflect the low concentration and thin flavor profiles that come with reduced sunlight and heat in August. You still have to know what to buy. Absolutely. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2006 A "Masculine" Pinot don't know how to interpret this, or how to recognize it when I taste it. have tasted many St Innocent wines, but never the Anden Vineyard bottling, which I read is a "masculine" wine. Folks, if you like Pinot Noir and you have not yet tasted the wines of St Innocent , do yourself a favor. Does that simply mean its a big wine? MORE >>
