Emilion Grand Cru, displayed strong but round, dry tannins, with mint and pine on the back end, and I would have fingered it for a Heitz Cellars Napa Valley. MORE >> -
WINE TASTING GUY | MONDAY, MAY 5, 2008 NorCal day 2: Sonoma ended up in Healdsburg in the Russian River and started at a winery called Sausal winery. The wine is then kept in the winery cellar for 18 months before being released. tried to get down a "bug juice" of sorts that was simply awful. WINE TASTING GUY | WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, 2008 Polaner tasting standouts tasted some nice Chardonnays by Foxglove/ Varner Wines , L'Angevin , DuMol and Neiman cellars. Drew Neiman of Neiman Cellars is someone I had not met before, but whom I engaged in conversation as I noticed a wine I was familiar with on his table. SLAKED | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2008 Wine Spectator's California Wine Experience Cellar for 2 years and enjoy for the next decade. Lewis Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2005 This is a standard (almost formulaic) three star wine with all the trimmings, fresh ripe fruits on the nose, big oak and blueberry on the palate, chalky sweet tannins, and a long sweet finish.
