    Ridge Vineyards Z-List Spring Shipment
    Ridge Vineyards Z-List Spring shipment included the 2007 Geyserville, East Bench, and Paso Robles zinfandels. By Days 3-5, this was clearly progressing in a much more elegant fashion than the East Bench or Paso Robles, without losing definition or dark fruit notes. But the predominant note on day 1 was the vanilla.

    From the Paso Robles region of California where owner and Winemaker Stephan Asseo makes this Rhone blend of 40% Mourvedre , 30% Granache and 30% Syrah comes this ruby red from 100% estate grown fruit aged in French oak for 14 months. With a subtle nose comes forth spice, red fruits and a slight slate or chalk aroma. like that

    Justin Isosceles 2005 Paso Robles
    From the Paso Robles region of California comes this classic blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon , 15% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. Deep purple colors with a nose hinting of minerality, intense black fruits and, well, raw fresh steak. On the mouth there is vanilla and wood from the 18 months in French oak barrels.

    The 2006 Paso Robles * from Benito Dusi's Ranch, 100% zinfandel from old old vines, is actually a light bodied, mild-mannered 14.6% I've decided to list these two Ridge zins together, but they really couldn't be more diverse. alcohol (if such a thing exists) showing nicely ripe red fruit and not too much heat. It's deep.

    Halter Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 Paso Robles Estate Bottled
    This Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, California has a deep violet color with cherries, plums and blackberries on the nose, with a dark chocolate and oaky undertone. On the palate is a mature fruitiness and a rounded vanilla mouthfeel really nicely balanced in a fine example of what a Cabernet is all about.
