stars USA 2009 napaDeep rose color. Predominantly bacon fat on the nose. Big palate with considerable soft tannin, orange peel/citrus, bright on the finish with lingering. Hard to put my finger on. Tastes like lingering redcurrants. Purchased at Whole Foods; worth checking out. MORE >> -

And "rock" is the appropriate word, for even though this is a California Sauvignon Blanc, the minerality is incredible. Beyond the Sauvignon Blanc which is also distinctive by its bottle (designed to capture the 1855 Bordeaux bottle with its deep punt), the winery makes excellent Cabernet Sauvignon and also Syrah.
