The only one that seemed promising to me was a 1999 Geantet-Pansiot Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru , but even that did not have the same captivating factor as some of the other reds. The more I learn about wine, the more I realize that I don't know. Same is true with wine, I would say. If tasted blind I might have thought it to be a lesser California Pinot, as there was alcohol heat and dark roast fruit on the nose, and the palate was pretty one dimensional too - just roasted darkness.
