WHY WINE BLOG | MONDAY, MAY 3, 2010 Red Tail Ridge semi-dry Riesling 2008 The 2008 Red Tail Ridge semi- dry Riesling was suggested by my sister-in-law. Just finished watching the movie "Avatar" while sipping on my first Riesling of the summer. Finger Lakes Riesling of course. This month is Riesling month in New York and this will be the first of many I'll enjoy over the next 30 days. Sound good? What else is better! MORE >> -

The Sauvignon Blanc, on the other hand, was outstanding. Silver Birch Sauvignon Blanc is from the famous cool climate vineyards of the renowned Marlborough winegrowing region. Definitely a good party wine. MORE >> -

Since the dry Riesling turned me off, I figured the time and pairing was right for a sweeter wine. I love it when Shirley decides to experiment in the kitchen. MORE >>
