This past Sunday, Shirley, Pam and I along with two good friends attended the Finger Lakes Wine Fest in Watkins Glen, NY. Glad I took the ride before drinking and/or tasting any wine. Wine of the Week - Bernard Baudry's Rosé
Bay Area wine blogger Cory Cartwright is celebrating the 1st anniversary of his blog Saignée by hosting an event that he calls " 31 Days of Natural Wine." Cory writes passionately about the wines he loves, and about his life in the Bay Area and beyond. The Baudry wines are in my opinion, the very finest in Chinon.

NV Domaine Spiropoulos Ode Panos , $15, Athenee Importers of New York. don't drink a lot of Greek wine. saw this bottle while browsing a favorite store and knowing nothing whatsoever about it, the following clues convinced me that it might indeed be a good wine: It's made from organically grown grapes. It's 11.5%

Washington State Wine Tasting
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Washington Wine Commission's tasting called Expressive Terroir of Washington Country. Primehouse New York hosted the event. So this tasting was a great opportunity for me to get a sense of the wines. Washington State should be great for growing wine grapes.
