But it is certainly larger than the miniscule vineyard sizes that make up plots of grand cru Burgundy to which the term should only apply. Also from Merus was their '05 Merus Cab blended with 5% Petit Verdot & Malbec. don't know. | WINE TASTING GUY MARCH 25, 2008 Skurnik Tasting - my favorites (finally) The 2003 "1er Etage" Cab Franc was blended with 2% Petit Verdot and had very subtle green notes but was was nice as well. And their 2004 "Right Bank" Red, a blend of Cab Franc (53%), Merlot (30%), Petit Verdot (9%) & Cab Sauv (8%) was beautiful. then moved on the the Burgundies of Domaine Henri Jouan. | | | | | | | | | -

BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 2007 WBW 34 - Washington State Cabernet learned several years ago that I enjoy Pinot Noir from Oregon, and that there are a few producers who make great wines at fair prices, prices that rival what I would spend for a bottle of Burgundy of similar quality (if not similar style).
