Onto the reds. | WINE TASTING GUY MARCH 25, 2008 Skurnik Tasting - my favorites (finally) And their 2004 "Right Bank" Red, a blend of Cab Franc (53%), Merlot (30%), Petit Verdot (9%) & Cab Sauv (8%) was beautiful. Definitely one I'll be on the lookout for! She had a nice Sauvignon Blanc and very pleasant Merlot as well. It had 84% Cab Franc, 14% Merlot & % Cab Sauv and was delicious. The Cabernet Franc is my favorite, there is also the Cot (known elsewhere as Malbec), and the Cuvee Granit, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, I think. At reasonable prices too. Inquire within or by phone: (212) 505-WINE This wine was definitely grown in a valley. Everyone knows about Bordeaux and most people are somewhat familiar with the pinot noirs of Burgundy.
