VINO OCTOBER 6, 2009 Natural wines, premox, chenin blanc, 07 Port and Rhone – John Gilman perfect example in my opinion of going over the top and valuing the process over the results could be seen with Domaine Leroy’s wines in the great, great red Burgundy vintage of 1993. John Gilman, author of the newsletter The View from the Cellar , joins us again for a Q&A. asked him six questions; he replied with over 10,000 words! | ALICE FEIRING MARCH 12, 2009 Night of Burgundy: Part Three After course #1, I got up to table hop, to see what I was missing elsewhere. was missing plenty at the Meursault Perriers table where most of the heavy hitters were sitting, including Big Boy, in yellow kit scarf bowed about his neck, white pants, inspired by the spring weather perhaps? BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, JANUARY 12, 2009 Domaine Pierre Morey, Meursault Perhaps the finest and most memorable lesson that I received in Burgundy terroir came at the hands of Pierre Morey. Pierre Morey in his cellar. MORE >> -

Both dinners will feature 2005 red and white Burgundies from Voillot and 2005 Pinot noir and Chardonnay from St. Voillot 2005 Meursault Chevalieres / St. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2007 Silver Burgundy Roudup - WBW #39 As I keep hearing (and learning for myself) about Burgundy - it's all about the producer. He tastes a Viré-Clessé and a Vieille Vignes Viré-Clessé and finds them both to be excellent, but the VV wine is deeper, bearing some resemblance to a Meursault. Whoops - this wine turns out to be made from vines near Meursault. MORE >> -
VIGNA UVA VINO | TUESDAY, JUNE 24, 2008 Interview with winemaker Luc Baudet from Chateau Mas Neuf Of course, it depends whether I am near home or away. That could be the time from a Meursault Genevrieres from the Comtes Lafon, with reasonable age (10 to 15 years). would love to try all terroirs of la Romanée Conti, Burgundy reds can really be fantastic when made exceptional. not forgetting the fantastic Alsace grain Nobles.
