The Burgundies were not so impressive, on the whole. The only one that seemed promising to me was a 1999 Geantet-Pansiot Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru , but even that did not have the same captivating factor as some of the other reds. These grapes are from 50 year old vines in Bon B â tons, the plot in Chambolle- Musigny that gives forth a couple of solid Bourgognes (Barthod, Rion).
