SLAKED | SUNDAY, JULY 13, 2008 2001 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino * Considering all the hoopla surrounding the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG recently, I didn't know what to expect of this wine. I'd always enjoyed Argiano's wines, and I was disappointed to learn that the brunellos had - just maybe - been doctored with cabernet, merlot, or syrah. It toned down after being open a couple hours.
