Top notch wine. Really intriguing wine. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010 Lunar Cycles and Wine Showings The last time I drank this many wines in an evening was the Savigny-lès- Beaune night I hosted and nothing showed very well. assumed it was Savagin, but Sophie told us that it is Chardonnay in 2001. Can you imagine tasting an oxidative wine for the first time after working with burgundy chardonnay and saying, what the hell, let's make that? Wanted land in Burgundy. Was attacked by sticker shock. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2009 Friday Night Bubbles This is a blend of mostly Chardonnay and some Aligoté made in Savigny-lès- Beaune by a producer that makes only Crémant, highly unusual for a Burgundy producer. And with about a half hour open, I realized that it actually tastes like still Chardonnay from Savigny-lès- Beaune, which is a good thing - it tastes good. MORE >> -
