We had 2005 Domaine Roulot Bourgogne Aligote with the soup, and it was exactly as it should be - light, crisp, clean tasting, briny and citrusy acidity. If you take the train from Paris to Dijon and drive south to Burgundy, you go through Marsannay (an up-and-coming appellation), then Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Flagey-Echezeaux, and Vosne-Romanee, the powerhouses of red wine production in Burgundy.
