BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2008 Visiting Philippe Pacalet We visited some of the very top producers in Burgundy - Mugnier, Roumier, Pierre Morey, Pacalet, L'Arlot, Le Moine, Rousseau, and Dujac. One of my favorites was our visit to the cellars of Philippe Pacalet in Beaune. 2007 Beaune 1er Cru Les Perrieres in bottles, waiting for labels. Philippe Pacalet, definitely a bit of a rascal. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, MAY 14, 2007 Another White Stunner from 2005 Burgundy I am finding that the un-oaked whites from the "lesser" regions of Burgundy are just fantastic in 2005. The two "lesser" regions I refer to are the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais, both south of the Cote de Beaune and north of Beaujolais. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2006 Le Charlemagne The finest meal of our France trip, considering both Burgundy and Paris, was most certainly our dinner at Le Charlemagne , a smart and beautifully designed restaurant nestled in at the base of the hills in Pernand Vergelesses.
