Paul Pernot Rhône Valley Eric Texier Closel Beaujolais Marcel Lapierre Savennières BurgundyThe results have not been terribly impressive so far. Kind of like reading an old journal entry. Boy, did I love this wine a few years ago. Live and learn. | | | | | | | BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE JUNE 17, 2009 The Pickyeater's BBQ Great Beaujolais. The Fino was more assertive and more definitively structured, and a bit more pungent. Tags: California Trimbach Beaujolais Sherry Alsace Burgundy Spain Equipo Navazos Michel Lafarge Foillard I was lucky enough to be invited to Keith Levenberg 's BBQ again this year. Top notch wine. BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2007 Some $15 Beauties from the Loire Valley like her definition of wine of the year - much more compelling than top 100 lists and things like that. They are simply making good wines using a grape that is traditional to the area, wines that will appeal to folks who already are interested in Loire Valley reds, Beaujolais, you know, not big and powerfully extracted huge reds. WHY WINE BLOG | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2010 Why Wine: Cline Cellars: Giving Back with Cashmere 2008 The wine reminded me some what of Beaujolais. Since I like my Beaujolais a bit chilled I put the rest of the wine in the cooler and chilled it a little for tonight and that made a world of difference. Definitly not Beaujolais, but fruit forward with much higher alcohol. This disease is not reserved for just women. MORE >> -
BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, 2009 By the Glass - Poulsard Edition love Burgundy and Beaujolais, and Poulsard is definitely of the same phenotype. I've recently emerged from a bit of a "red wine stand-still." I've wanted to branch out some more. Not merely for the sake of branching out - I wish there was more red wine that I really like. Why did it take me so long to find Poulsard? Is that so wrong? MORE >>
