I went to a wine bar last night and there were a few things that disturbed me about this place. While this is (sadly) not possible at retail outlets this IS usually something granted at wine bars - at least when the location has an open bottle of the stuff. Something I think is OK at wineries but tacky in a wine bar. Thanks. | | | | | | | | WHY WINE BLOG MARCH 24, 2010 New In Boxed Wines The first wine to be released in the new Octavin Home Wine Bar is Monthaven Winery Monterey County Central Coast Chardonnay. | | WINE TASTING GUY MARCH 19, 2008 2 Wine tasting events - Part 2 was invited as a perspective customer (as I work on moving forward with the Wine bar project) and was very happy to have been included. WINE TASTING GUY | MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2007 My first blog entry - a blind date at a local wine bar. Another woman who "likes sweet wine" I took her to the local wine bar (yeah, real creative WTG). Although it is a Monday, the deadest night in the food/beverage industry, we waited about 20 minutes for a place to sit. It's late, I have a nice buzz, so I'll keep this (first) one brief. On to the wine. Sweet & red??? NEVER AGAIN! MORE >> -
EAST VILLAGE WINE GEEK | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2008 A GREEK REVELATION! California? We thanked them when we had tasted all the way through which was probably a little under hundred or so wines and ran frolicking into the city to find a wine bar and strategically prepare for the Greek wine renaissance. When you think of wine what parts of the world come to mind first? France? Italy? What about Greece? MORE >>
