Here's an assortment of wines (first three from Savio Soares, importer) that have me hanging on to the bottles. All are organic in reality, if not in certification (chianti does have cert). Somewhere around $30? piemontese pinot nero. | | | | | | | -
VIGNA UVA VINO | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2010 G.B Burlotto Barbera d'Alba 2009 DOC An excellent pick by Eric Guido , who recommended this winner to me at the tasting last week at the Wine Room of Forest Hills , and the first meeting of the Wine Society of Queens. Deep black cherry colors in the glass, darker around the rim, and a very attractive but subtle freshness. 15/bottle, 13% alcohol. MORE >> -

WINE TASTING GUY | SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2008 Wine starts in the Vineyard - Golan Heights Winery Once again, feeling like a VIP (I think I can get used to this) I was taken on a private tour of some vineyards and given a tasting of selected wines. A wine I had been looking forward to trying and was rewarded with was the 2006 Galil Mountain Barbera. Happy Golan Heights (and Galilee) wine region(s) wine tasting! MORE >>
