BROOKLYN GUY LOVES WINE | MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2007 Dinner with the In-Laws opened a bottle of Zind Humbrecht Gewurztraminer, an Alsace producer I have been meaning to try for a while now. This is a late harvest blend of mostly Chardonnay (65-70% I think), Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. That phrase alone is enough to send shivers down the spine of many of us. The Kuentz-Bas Alsace Blanc is good too. On Monday I posted a list of wines that cost $14 or less , about $15 including NYS tax. think that the most important element at this price point is balance.
