The '08 Petite Sirah was a little tamer with a little more fruit aroma and taste. Taste like much more expensive Zins. Since the first time I tasted Bogle wines, they have been a favorite of mine. -

My wine was a Seghesio Langhe Nebbiolo 2008 ( $20 ). Very complex in the mouth with taste of cherry, licorice, plum and currant, but still very soft and dry. That was my way of fortifying the wine. -

After a few beer nights, I finally was able to open, taste and drink two remaining red wines I have received from Cinnabar Winery; the 2008 Sextant Vineyards Syrah and the 2006 Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon. My favorite of the Rainer Wess wines was the Riesling Achleiten 2008, which had a smokey minerality that came out of the dark granite soil. We tried the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon on its own, and I liked it a lot. Both producers were so energetic and fun. -
