So after the hard and wonderful work of the Terry Theise Portfolio tasting, we rushed over to the east side for Louis/Dressner tasting. Dupasquier Roussette de Savoie "Altesse" 2006 ** According to Oz Clarke , wines that are designated as Roussette de Savoie AOC are blended with up to 50% chardonnay, although those marked specifically as "Altesse," as this was, will be made from this grape only. SLAKED | FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2008 The Under $25 Crowd 2006 Eugene Carrel & Fils Rousette de Savoie " Altesse " gave me a headache. What a week. This is the problem with the "under $25/bottle case." You never know what you're going to get. Unfortunately, I haven't been as lucky as Eric Asimov finding quality cheap French wine at retail in NYC. That said, I hate to harp on bad wines. 2007 Dom.
